I got my Instinct June 19th and overall I'm happy with the phone.  My only complaint was when I upgraded to the Instinct the salesman in the store assured me that the phone could be used as a modem.  I had checked reviews of the product earlier and they all mentioned this capability.  When I installed the PC software it would not install the necessary pc client.  I called Sprint and was told that in order to use the phone as a modem I needed to pay an "upcharge" of $15/mo to get the feature.  No, problem, but when I asked how to get this added to my so called "simply everything" plan I was told that Sprint will not offer this function.   It appears that for whatever reason Sprint is offering a high function phone and then irritate their users by not allowing some of the functionality.

Thanks for the suggestion.  My laptop doesnt have a built in bluetooth so I had to purchase one and try your approach.  I was able to connect using the approach you described above but for some reason the phone keeps going off line for a while and then coming back.  The bluetooth status remains as connected although I can see that the internet connection has been lost.  I do not have to redial the phone reconnects after a few seconds but it makes internet access a problem.  Any ideas?
