Instinct requires "everything plan"?

Has anyone else noticed that on nowisgood.com Sprint is saying that you have to change your plan to buy this phone?

"Purchase of the Instinct requires activation on an Everything plan."

My first thought is whether I can buy one of these phones from another source and swap it on my account without changing my plan. They say the plan change is required to buy it...but not to use it. :)

Re: Instinct requires "everything plan"?

You could probably buy a cold (no attached service plan) Instinct from an unscrupulous indirect when they come available and add it to your account with your current plan. Here is the thing though, not all the features may work if you don’t have the appropriate plan.  Without the proper plan, you wouldn’t be getting your money’s worth from the shiny new toy of a phone.

Just my two cents for what it is worth.

Re: Instinct requires "everything plan"?

Yes that is tru,im not sure what plan you have but, if you have unlimited data, you should be ok w/ swapping the phone on your account, theres three plans under the everything offer and all of them include unlimited data, which w/ any other phone plan would be $25 extra a month. the three plans that sprint offer for individual simple everything is the 450, 900 or unlimited voice and they all include unlimited data prices are $70, $90 and $100...w/ my current plan it would be cheaper to get the $70 plan then pay and extra $25 bux.

Re: Instinct requires "everything plan"?

My main concern is there's no way I'm giving up my SERO plan ($50/month for 1200 anytime minutes and unlimited n&w starting at 7pm with unlimited internet and text messaging).
